In the 18th to 19th century, Bermondsey, London was the industrial centre. The area was famous for leather works and tanning.

Tanner Street is in Bermondsey.

I couldn't find any photo of tanning in Bermondsey.

It might be different from Moroccan way of it.

Fes and Marrakech are known for leather materials today.
